Hannah Turns Three!

For her 3rd birthday, Hannah had a party at the SF Children's Art Center at Fort Mason with a handful of her "old" and new pals. Since her favorite activity is painting, it seemed like it would be the ideal spot for her party -- and it did not fail to deliver. Everyone had a blast, especially the birthday girl! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it!!

Just Another Day at Art Class

Hannah, Reece and Kayla continue to love their new art class at Fort Mason. But even more than playing with paint and play-doh without their mommies around, they LOVE running around the "stage" built out of recycled goods in the parking lot with "Tanner Baby" (now a full-fledged toddler) while actual Baby Sloane looks on...!

Of course she was not running around chasing after Tanner (and vice versa) like the other maniacs above. But one day, Baby Sloane may have the advantage of youth, and a steadfast gaze, when it comes to winning Tanner's affection.

Back in January, Hannah got to meet her good friend Reece's baby sister, Sloane, when she was just 2 weeks old.

After oogling the newborn for about 3 minutes, Hannah got back to her favorite activity - watching videos on my iPhone. Here she shows Reece all her fave vids.

Spring Solstice & 15 Months

With Spring having finally arrived, it's time for a little spring cleaning. So we didn't hesitate to put Hannah to work, which she gladly obliged. Here you can see her busy sweeping the family room.... or maybe that was her just ordering US to get to work.... Either way, we are taking the hint and getting to it around here - starting with a little landscaping project so our front entryway will be more functional and attractive, hopefully before our families and friends start arriving from near and far on/before May 9th!


But all work and no play makes Hannah a dull girl, so we got out and enjoyed the spring weather with Hannah's BFFs down at the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina. As you can see, it was a perfect day -- light breeze, plenty of sunshine, and tons of birds to chase, friends to run away from, dogs to meet, and flowers to enjoy. Here's some snapshots from the afternoon last week, with Kayla and Reece in tow. I think it's fair to say everybody had a blast, especially the kiddies!

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
